Morris Leroy Roper, age 71, died December 1, 1987.
Born July 13, 1916 in Vernal Utah to Ross Edwin and Lacy Jones Roper. Married Arna Lewis, August 28, 1950 in the Logan LDS Temple. Graduated from BYU in speech and drama. Taught English and was a speech pathologist for the Salt lake City School District. Member LDS Church. He had a great love for gardening and was a very giving person. World War II Veteran.
Survivors: two sons, Kevin and wife, Cindy, Salt Lake City; Clark and wife, Lisa, Los Angeles, Calif.; one daughter, Chari, Salt Lake City; four grandsons and one granddaughter; sister, Mrs. Bud (Amy) Cook; five brothers, Oather, Von, Bernarr, Marvel, Darson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 4, 1987 at 2 p.m. in the Kenwood Ward Chapel, 3085 South 1765 East. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and at the ward on Friday one hour prior to service. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
