I am not sure, but I think this home belonged to a Roper family. If there is anyone who may help identify it please let me know.

The above photo looks like the Alfred Henry(brother of Maria Wilstead Roper) and Clara Elizabeth Staker Wilstead home, located in Lawrence. It sits on a cornor lot in N. Lawerence. The Roper homestead was located a huge block direct south of this home, across the street from the LDS Church. There is a dirt road that runs infront of and to the right of the house. There is another entrance into the house from the back of the property. I am the greatgranddaughter of Alfred and Clara Wilstead.
Thanks, I am the Great Granddaughter of Maria Wilstead. My Grandfather was Maria’s only living son by James Leo Roper. I have visited a cousin who lives in Castle Dale. Her Grandmother was Susanna Wilstead Ramage. We plan on returning to Castle Dale in June of 2004. I have lots of questions concerning Maria’s life in Utah and I also have a old photos from an old album of Maria’s and I am tring to identify the pictures.
Thanks
Peggy
This picture is the old family homestead in Lawrence. The picture was taken shortly after Samuel Dodd Wilstead (the one by the door in the suit) returned home from his LDS Church mission in England (1914). Included in the picture is his mother, Susannah (EVANS) Wilstead, his older brother Alfred Henry and his two sisters, Maria Daisy (WILSTEAD) Roper and Susannah (WILSTEAD) Ramage. I’m not sure who is standing in front of the two sisters but suspect them to be their children. The child in front of Samuel’s mother is Alfred’s daughter Addessa (Nana) (WILSTEAD) Wallace, Snow. The boy off to the right is one of Alfred’s sons, Raymond or William.
