Anna H. E. Hansen, age 99, died peacefully Feb. 21, 1994 at the home of her daughter, Vivian and Jerry W. Mitchell. Anna was a loving caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She was born December 20, 1894 in Hatting, Denmark to Niels Moller and Frederikke Christensen Eilersen.
She married Holger P.V. Hansen in the Salt Lake Temple. He died November 24, 1965.
She became a convert to the LDS Church in 1910 and immigrated to the United States in 1912. She was a choir member in Denmark; Sunday School teacher, Relief Society counselor, Relief Society president, visiting teacher and faithful temple worker.
Survived by five daughters and three sons and their spouses: A. Ruby and Edward W. Corpron, West Valley City, Vivian B. and Jerry W. Mitchell, Salt Lake City, Eva R. Hansen, Salt Lake City, Esther E. and Marvel D. Roper, Longmont, Colo.; presently serving an LDS mission in South Africa, Richard A. and Anne Hansen, Las Vegas, Nev., Bernice H. and Richard M. Frederickson, West Valley City, Grant R. and Dolores Hansen, Draper, Ut., Robert D. and Maryan Hansen, Brigham City, Ut; 38 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren and two nephews, James M. and John Christensen. She was preceded in death by daughters, Margaret and Melba and a son William H. Hansen.

Shirley Weight Roper passed away May 15, 1998.
She was born October 22, 1916 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Leon M. and Ferol Roylance Weight. She attended public schools in Provo and attended one year at B.Y.U. She worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1972 after 33 years of service. She married Oather Ross Roper September 7, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple.
LDS Church service included a mission to East Central States from 1939-40, a mission with her husband to Hawaii from 1946-48, and to Nauvoo, Illinois from 1978-79. She was an officer or teacher in all church auxiliaries for many years, and a Provo Temple worker for about 18 years.
Survivors include her husband; her daughter, Mrs. Renae (Milton) DeLeeuw; four granddaughters, Mrs. Dayna Lee (David) Harper, Mrs. Kristine (Mark) Ward, Mrs. Cheryl (Aldo) Lomeli, and Mrs. Melissa (Darin) Balls; and seven great-grandchildren.

Oather Ross Roper, 86, formerly of Provo, died Saturday, August 29, 1998, at the home of his daughter.
He was born February 28, 1912, in Vernal, Utah. He was the oldest of 10 children born to Edwin Ross and Lacy Jones Roper. He married Shirley Weight on September 7, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple. She preceded him in death on May 15, 1998.
He attended school in Maeser, Utah, and took special education classes at BYU. He is a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. as a mechanic and flight engineer from 1942-1946.
He worked in the construction of Geneva Steel. He also worked for Provo City and Standard Oil, retiring from Provo School District in 1977.
His church service includes Sunday school superintendent, stake Young Men’s Board, member of bishopric, high councilman for 25 years, and temple worker in both Provo and Timpanogos temples. He served a mission with his wife and daughter in Hawaii from 1946-1948 and a mission with his wife to Nauvoo from 1978-1979.
He served as president of Utah Lake Lions Club and was a member of Timpanogos Knife and Fork Club. Oather loved to garden and would give his fresh produce to friends and family. He worked extensively in genealogy.
Survivors include a daughter, Renae R. DeLeeuw (Milton); four granddaughters, Dayna Lee Harper (David), Kristine Ward (Mark), Cheryl Lyn Lomeli (Aldo), Melissa Ann Balls (Darren); and seven great grandchildren; one sister, Amy Cook; three brothers, Bernard “Bernie” Roper, Marvel Roper, and Darson Roper.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 2, 1998, at the Lindon 3rd Ward chapel located at 30 North Main, Lindon, at 12 noon. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on September 2nd at the Lindon chapel. Interment in the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street.

ROY H. TIEDECK, 78, of Palisades Park died Friday. Before retiring in in 1973, he was a salesman for Sears, Roebuck, and Company in Hackensack. He was a member of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Ridgefield Park and a member of its vestry. Surviving are his wife, Helen Connell Tiedeck; two daughters, Patricia Jacob of Ridgefield Park and Judith Bowers of Demarest; a sister, Ann Tiedeck of Westwood, and four grandchildren. Services will be tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, with burial in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting is today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Blackley Funeral Home in Ridgefield. Donations to the Church of St. Mary the Virgin would be appreciated.

Services are tonight at 8 at Blackley Funeral Home, Ridgefield, with burial Friday at 10 a.m. in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Flushing N.Y. Visiting is tonight from 7 to 9.
