Some friends of ours, Ed Torrance and Cathy (Alison) Torrance grew up in Azusa and Covina California, about the same time my family lived there (long before I was born). Ed is good friends with Leon Marx’s son Steve. My father Marv and Leon Marx served together in church when my family lived in Azusa. Chances are that my family would not have known Ed Torrance, I think they joined the church in the 80’s.

Susannah Smith was the daughter of George Smith and Ann Hutchinson Smith. She was born 23 March 1804 in Cambridgeshire, England. In her early years she was taught to do fancy needle work and excelled in this art. She married John William Roper on October 18, 1831, in March, Cambridgeshire, England. To them were born five children.
